The rupiah weakened 0.50 percent to Rp17,847 per US dollar on Monday (September 21, 2026). The market was monitoring West Asian geopolitics and Bank Indonesia's interest rate decision.
The Garuda currency was at Rp17,847 per US dollar, down 89 points from its previous close of Rp17,758 per US dollar.
The weakening of the Rupiah exchange rate is still influenced by concerns about geopolitical tensions in the Middle East which have pushed oil prices to remain high above USD 100.
Until 14.59 pm rupiah was transacted at Rp 17,847 per US dollar. The position weakened 89 points or 0.50 percent from its previous position at Rp 17,758 per US dollar
