The rupiah weakened against the US dollar at the opening of trading on Monday (September 21). According to Bloomberg, the rupiah opened at Rp 17,790 per US dollar, up 0.19%.
The rupiah exchange rate lost steam against the United States (US) dollar at the opening of trading earlier this week.
As of 9:07 a.m. WIB, the rupiah was trading at Rp 17,779 per US dollar, down 21 points, or 0.12 percent, from its previous level of Rp 17,800 per US dollar.
Ibrahim Assuaibi, projected that for Monday's trading, the rupiah currency would fluctuate but close weaker at around Rp. 17,750.
