BGT 2026 Golden Buzzer Awarded After Act Leaves Judges in Tears on Fourth Semi-Final

Yesterday, Simon Cowell pressed the Golden Buzzer for poet Sonny Green during the fourth BGT semi-final, sending Green straight through to the final.
There are five live semi-finals for the 2026 series of BGT, with just one remaining; in each show, one judge holds the power to send an act directly to the final.
Alesha Dixon praised the performance as "magic," adding that it made the judges feel something as Green moved the audience with his poetry regarding his relationship with his sons.
The BGT 2026 final airs live on ITV and ITVX on Saturday, May 30, where the winner will receive £250,000 and the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance.
Since 2007, there have been 18 BGT winners, and following last year's winner magician Harry Moulding, this year's victor will join that list of champions.
