HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) - Governor Andy Beshear provided an update on almost 100,000 rental units being built in western Kentucky. The developer closed on properties in Mayfield, Dawson Springs and Bowling Green. This comes after the deadly December 2021 tornado that demolished several communities. 48 rental units will be built at the new Marketplace Commons in Dawson Springs. Gov. Beshear says construction is set to start within the next month.
