Benin named world champion of school canteens by the World Food Program

In 2017, Benin launched a school kitchen program to keep children in school. Over the course of 6 years, the project grew canteens from serving 30% to 75% of schools. This initiative moves the country closer to achieving the UN’s fourth sustainable development goal of increasing education access by 2030.
