While the MaPrimeRenov has returned in 2026, with the aim of financing 150,000 isolated works and 120,000 renovations, the government is gradually specifying the eligibility criteria. As part of its electrification plan, any renovation of a gas boiler will be excluded.
As of 1 September 2026, MaPrimeRénov' will no longer subsidise the overall renovations that plan to maintain gas heating. According to an electrification plan released on Thursday, 23 April, the government targets one million heat pumps per year installed by 2030 and the ban on gas in new buildings from 2027.
