The energy crisis will be the cornerstone of Spain's growth in 2027. A report by BBVA Research notes that "The increase in the cost of oil and gas could subtract between 0.4 and 0.5 percentage points from the increase in GDP and add between 0.8 and 0.9 percentage points to inflation in Spain until the end of 2027. Its forecasts point to inflation in Spain of 3.6% in 2026 and 3.2% in 2027."
