BBC's Monty Don supported as he shares sad loss

Monty Don posted on Instagram that Peggy died yesterday, and the post drew over 150,000 likes within moments from his three million followers.
Monty Don said Peggy was just shy of her 16th birthday and died peacefully at his Herefordshire home, having lived gently and without fuss.
At his Longmeadow home, Peggy was laid to rest in the coppice, which contains marked graves for Nigel, Nell, Beaufort, Red, Poppy, Barry, Stimpy and Blue.
Shared on Facebook, the post drew thousands of consoling comments, with over 4,000 offering sympathy including for Ned and @thewonderofwoolandwood saying `So sorry Monty. What a wonderful life you gave her`.
On his blog, Monty Don, Gardeners' World presenter, writes that he has lived with dogs all his life and several have featured on the programme.
