Baza Head Editor Gleb Trifonov Formally Charged With Bribery
Law enforcement authorities have charged Gleb Trifonov, editor-in-chief of the Telegram news channel Baza, with bribery, the state-run TASS news agency reported Wednesday, citing his lawyer and sources familiar with the case.
The editor-in-chief of Baza Gleb Triphonov's television channel, accused of three episodes of bribery, was arrested for one month and 27 days and informed the official television channel of the ordinary courts of Moscow, which was decided by the Zamoskurek District Court at the request of the investigation.
The Moscow District Court arrested the head of the Baza Gleb Triphonov television channel in a large bribe case (art. 291, para. 4, of the Criminal Code), reports "Mediazona." The investigation led the journalist to three episodes of bribery. According to the UK, journalists paid for information by police officers in the Belgorod region, Krasnodar and Krasnoyar provinces.
He's accused of buying plums from the police.
