France: François Bayrou discusses the possibility of a referendum on deficits

The Prime Minister is considering the idea of a referendum on "a coherent plan, with clear proposals" to reduce deficits and debt. But only the President of the Republic can take this initiative.

The Prime Minister puts forward a hypothesis to hope to solve the budget puzzle, in an interview with the "JDD" published this Saturday, May 3rd at night. While specifying that the decision to organise a referendum belongs to Emmanuel Macron alone.
