A Bayou La Batre police officer facing accusations of engaging in sexual relationships with underage girls was taken into custody Wednesday by Mobile County sheriff’s deputies.The sheriff’s office received evidence about William “B.J.” Squires that led deputies to search the officer’s home Wednesday, according to a sheriff’s office spokeswoman.
