The agrichemical is the active ingredient in weedkillers like Roundup.

Bayer is considering all options to stop the glyphosate wave by the end of 2026, including getting rid of the unloved U.S. subsidiary along with lawsuits about a bankruptcy trick. This has opportunities and risks, as another case shows.

Bayer wants to contain the flood of lawsuits in the US. If this does not succeed, the Group is considering sending the US subsidiary Monsanto into insolvency and stopping the sale of glyphosate. That would be radical – but right.
