Batesville Stormwater Funding Advances

(Washington, D.C.) – Area Congresswoman Erin Houchin says seven Community Project Funding requests totaling more than $7.8 million for Indiana’s Ninth District have been approved by the House Appropriations Committee after previously clearing the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Subcommittee. One of the projects receiving committee approval was $1.5 million for the Batesville stormwater system. Funding would support construction of a new stormwater system along Six Pine Ranch Road, increasing drainage capacity, supporting existing and future business development, and addressing aging infrastructure. Also in Southeastern Indiana, $450,000 for Switzerland County TEC Rural Innovation Center received the committee’s okay. [...]
