Today, the Government Council approved the strategy "Palliative Care in the canton of Basel-Stadt". It builds on the cantonal Palliative Care concept of 2013 and sets the priorities for the coming years. The new strategy focuses on the three areas of action "Medical Care", "Communication" and "Quality". The goal remains a needs-oriented, dignified and as self-determined as possible accompanying people with advanced, non-healable diseases.
