After serving the citizens of Pawhuska for 59 years, Dr. James R. Priest recently retired. At Tuesday evening's city council meeting, a proclamation was read declaring June 30, 2026 as Dr. James R. Priest Day. Mayor Steve Tolson read that proclamation aloud and in part, here is what it said. The council passed that declaration unanimously.
