The start of an NSV (Nationalist Student Association) demonstration in Leuven at 8 p.m. immediately got out of hand. When a few bystanders expressed their displeasure with horns and middle fingers, the demonstrators threw fireworks at the crowd. Those present immediately threw the fireworks back. The procession started at Herbert Hoover Square but is currently at a standstill at Ladeuzeplein.
On Thursday evening, hundreds of concerned students and politicians gathered in Leuven for a Remigration march. Under the banner 'Save our nation, Remigration,' they wanted to draw attention to the dark side of mass migration. Remigration—the return of illegal asylum seekers and criminal foreigners—is also seen as the way to make European societies a little safer and more livable again. However, the far left was not pleased with this.
