Nobody can say how long the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine will last. The only thing that is certain is that the invaded country needs further help from its western partners. Latvia is announcing a big step.
According to the opinion poll of the European Council on Foreign Relations, only a tenth of respondents believe that Ukraine will win, and many Europeans would like to pressure Ukraine to make peace with Russia. European politicians have not been able to explain what a peace concluded on Putin's terms would mean, said a researcher who analyzed the data.
