According to Tokyo Shoko Research, Oba (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), which operated a barbershop founded in 1882, received a bankruptcy commencement order from the Tokyo District Court on August 5th. The company's president, Ryukichi Oba, who had served as the Imperial Household Agency's barber, died in February at the age of 74.
