She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on January 30, 1939, the daughter of Anton “Tony” John and Dorothy Helen Krauk Holzer. She was married to David Roy Shaw on November 22, 1957 at the Tyson Temple in Versailles and he preceded her in death on June 17, 2008. Survivors include two daughters Cindy (Lanny) Burnham of Versailles and Patty (Randy) Young of Osgood; daughter-in-law Kathy Shaw of Versailles; seven grandchildren Lanny Jr. (Kelly) Burnham, Bonnie Burnham, David A. Shaw, Billy Shaw, Cassie (Brian) Wood, Alex Young, and Kara Young; seven great-grandchildren Colton, Blake, and Savannah Burnham, Briauna (Walker) Whitaker, and Kylee, Reese, and Bryson Wood; one sister Marlene Povolo of Milwaukee. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son David L. Shaw, step-grandson Terry Moody, and her sisters Jeanne Ross and Kathleen Nemec. Mrs.

She enjoyed doing plastic canvas, coloring and playing bingo. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 29 at 11 a.m. at the Dabney Baptist Church with Rev. Troy Green officiating. Burial will be in the Dabney Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the church. Memorials may be given to the cemetery in care of the funeral home.
