Journalism in conflict zones has become one of the most dangerous professions in the world. Reporting from territories at war exposes reporters to armed attacks, direct threats, censorship, espionage and arbitrary detention. According to the latest report by Reporters Without Borders (RSF), in 2024 more than 145 journalists have been killed in Gaza alone, while hundreds have been arbitrarily detained, imprisoned or forced into exile.
