Bainimarama and Qiliho found guilty by High Court

Acting Director of Public Prosecutions, John Rabuku has filed an appeal against the acquittal of the former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and suspended Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho. The matter will now be called before Acting Chief Justice Salesi Temo on the 4th of December. Fiji Sun has reported today that the State plans to appeal the not guilty judgement and that the Attorney General has confirmed this. Attorney General Siromi Turaga says the article is misleading, conniving, false, incorrect and mischievous.
