Baidu's Apollo Go Partners with Autogo in Plan to Build Abu Dhabi's Largest Robotaxi Fleet

On March 28, 2025, Baidu, trading as BIDU on NASDAQ and 9888 on HKEX, announced a strategic partnership between its robotaxi arm, Apollo Go, and Autogo, a UAE-based autonomous mobility company and subsidiary of Kintsugi Holding, in Beijing.
This collaboration aims to deploy the largest fully driverless fleet in Abu Dhabi, bringing next-generation mobility to the city and contributing to its smart city vision.
The initial phase will involve the deployment of dozens of Apollo Go autonomous vehicles in select areas of Abu Dhabi, with trials conducted in coordination with the city's Integrated Transport Centre to align with local transport strategies, regulatory standards, and infrastructure planning.
Apollo Go, having commenced 100% fully driverless operations in February 2025 across over 10 cities in China and possessing a safe autonomous driving track record of 150 million kilometers and over 10 million cumulative rides, brings proven technology and operational experience to the UAE.
With a phased expansion planned, Apollo Go and Autogo will work together to scale commercial robotaxi operations, aiming for full commercial operations by 2026, to serve more users and promote a more sustainable approach to urban transportation, reduce emissions, ease congestion, and reshape the city landscape.
