Back in Time Dec. 27: Navin Hotel

T.P. Navin moved to Mitchell from Plankinton in 1904 and was a wholesale distributor of Val Blatz beer, wines and liquors at 103 S. Main St. and at Langdon and Third Street by 1913. In 1916, he entered the retail liquor business at 119 ½ N. Main St., which he continued to operate until his death on Nov. 15, 1944. Navin is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Mitchell.
