Baby teething toy sold on Amazon recalled after 30+ choking incidents

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled 6,800 units due to six undersized silicone pull-strings causing 32 choking incidents, posing risks of respiratory distress and death.

  • On January 22, 2026, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled about 6,800 Yetonamr Pull String Teething Toys for having silicone strings smaller than permitted.
  • The hazard stems from the six long silicone pull strings attached to the toy's ball, which can reach the back of the throat and become lodged, posing serious choking risks, the CPSC stated.
  • Sold on Amazon by Longyanguiheng, the toys feature a red or blue ball and off-white disc, three free-spinning rings, retailed between $10 and $16, from June 2025 through October 2025.
  • The agency noted the CPSC is aware of 32 choking incidents, while the product was marketed as a Montessori sensory teether to improve `baby's sensory ability and motor skills` and called the `best travel toy for toddlers`.
