Man Who Lied About Infant Son's Abduction Gets 25 Yrs in Prison
- Today in Riverside County Superior Court, Jake Haro, defendant, faces sentencing at 2 p.m. in Department 61 at the Hall of Justice for the death of his 7-month-old son, Emmanuel Haro.
 - The case began Aug. 14 when Rebecca Haro, the child's mother, reported she was attacked and said the baby was kidnapped in Yucaipa, prompting a multi-agency investigation and searches in Cabazon.
 - Haro, 32, pleaded guilty last month to second-degree murder, assault causing bodily harm to a child and filing a false police report, entering his plea without a deal on Oct. 16 and facing a maximum of 25 years to life.
 - No new information has surfaced about Emmanuel Haro, the missing infant's whereabouts, and Rebecca Haro, defendant and mother, has pleaded not guilty and is expected Monday for a preliminary hearing.
 - Riverside County Superior Court Judge Charles Polk reorganized his schedule and moved the case from the morning docket while News Channel Three's Garrett Hottle asked the district attorney's office about disclosures, a change-of-plea form, and co-defendant Rebecca Haro's court appearance.
