- Building on a 2023 collaboration, the firms began work on nuclear decommissioning and signed a memorandum of understanding in September to cooperate on autonomous UUV launch using HII’s REMUS UUV and Babcock systems.
- At Rosyth, Babcock will build large modular sections for block VI Virginia-class submarines, marking the first instance of supporting submarine work at HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding, the announcement said.
