From December 16th to 22nd of last year, when the period for issuing the Hokkaido/Sanriku Offshore Earthquake Warning ended, Hokkaido University and Kansai University conducted an online survey of 4,570 people aged between 10 and 90 in Hokkaido, Miyagi, and Ibaraki prefectures, asking about their awareness of the information. 33% said they were "well aware" of the information, while 30% said they were "aware" of it.
