Awarapan 2 box office collection day 10: Emraan Hashmi’s sequel races past ₹136 crore in second weekend
Emraan Hashmi's Awarapan 2 has cemented its superhit status, collecting Rs 1.43 billion in its first 10 days at the box office. The film is poised to surpass Rs 1.5 billion by Wednesday.
In contrast, Batwara 1947, starring Sunny Deol and produced by Aamir Khan, has been declared a disaster. Audiences largely avoided the Rajkumar Santoshi directorial, leading to poor box office performance.
Following its successful opening week, Awarapan 2 added Rs 250 million during its second weekend. Strong audience reception consolidated the film's superhit status further.
Batwara 1947 currently stands at Rs 360 million, struggling to reach a lifetime collection of Rs 400 million. The second weekend added only Rs 30 million, marking a total washout.
As Awarapan heads toward the Rs 1.5 billion milestone, Toxic arrives Wednesday, shifting industry focus. Meanwhile, Batwara failed to replicate the success Deol achieved in Border 2.
