The public rapporteur expressed his support for the continuation of the construction of the A69 motorway between Toulouse and Castres.
Two days before a decision by the judges that could stop the A69 project again, the public rapporteur placed himself on 8 December for his prosecution.
The public rapporteur recommended to the Administrative Court of Appeal that the decision of the Toulouse Administrative Court, which had ordered the stoppage of work, should be annulled, explaining that the A69 had no compelling reason in the major public interest
In February, the Toulouse Administrative Court ordered the termination of the work of this disputed motorway link. The State had appealed.
On Thursday 11 December, the Administrative Court of Appeal of Toulouse must decide on the future of the A69 site. On Tuesday 9 December, the public rapporteur gave his conclusions. He recommends that the judgments of the Administrative Court which had suspended the environmental authorisations and stopped the construction site be annulled.
The Toulouse Administrative Court of Appeal must examine during a trial on Thursday the legality of the works of the motorway between Toulouse and Castres, which resumed in June. In February, the court ordered the stoppage of the yard.
