GARNER, N.C. (WPTF) – A hazardous device was safety destroyed near a Garner church off U.S. Highway 70 Friday morning. (Feb. 27). The area near The Capital Church was evacuated with nearby roads shut down briefly, as the Raleigh Police Hazardous Device Unit responded.  The device was found around 7 a.m. In a statement, Garner Police say they continue to investigate and there is no indication the incident was “religiously motivated.” No injuries …
