Austria remains free of foot-and-mouth disease for the time being
Until Sunday afternoon no foot-and-mouth disease cases were discovered in Austria. Border traffic remains limited. In Hungary buried cattle are probably no danger for drinking water.

The Austrian authorities previously announced that they would restrict traffic between Hungary and Austria in order to prevent the further spread of the disease threatening ungulates.
