SYDNEY, Sept 21 (Reuters) - Australia and New Zealand on Monday signed a pact to deepen cooperation between both countries' navies. The pact, named Plan Tasman, will strengthen cooperation across personnel, training, development, warfighting, engineering, regulation and international engagement, statements from both countries said.
The Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) and the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) signed the Tasman Plan, a new agreement to improve naval integration and cooperation between the two Marines. The Tasman Plan was signed by the Commodore Karl Woodhead of RNZN and the Rear Admiral Darren Grogan of RAN; it translates strategic objectives shared in concrete actions on personnel, training, operational capabilities, naval engineering and international engagement..…
