Born on September 9, 1908 in Hidalgo del Parral, Chihuahua, Aurora Reyes Flores is considered the first Mexican muralist. Daughter of engineer and captain León Reyes and Luisa Flores. She was a Mexican poet, painter, teacher and activist. She was married to Jorge de Godoy, who was considered the Oscar Wilde of his time and with him started a family.
