Audi F1 CEO Mattia Binotto has stated that the goal is to get development driver Freddy Slater into an F1 seat in the near future. The 18-year-old Slater had a strong season in FIA F3 this year, finishing second in the standings behind Hugo Hugochukwu. He is scheduled to move up to FIA F2 with Invicta Racing in 2027, and Audi is proceeding with a development plan that includes opportunities to drive in F1.
