Turkish-flagged fishing boat is attacked in the Black Sea, leaving a sailor dead
Turkish authorities said the Duru 67 sank after the attack, and a medical team treated five rescued sailors, one of whom died.
A Turkish-flagged fishing boat was attacked and sank off the northern Black Sea coast, leaving one sailor dead and four others wounded.
The Duru 67 was attacked west of Sevastopol in Crimea, which was seized from Ukraine by Russia and annexed in March 2014.
Five injured sailors were rescued by another trawler, but one died on the way back to Turkey, and the other four were hospitalized with shrapnel wounds.
A Turkish fishing boat was attacked and sank in the Black Sea west of the Russian-occupied Crimean peninsula on Friday, killing one person and injuring four, officials said.
The Turkish Coast Guard announced that a ship of that country was attacked and sank off the northern coast of the Black Sea, as well as that one sailor was killed and four people were wounded.
