Coppa Italia: Juventus Knocked Out by Atlanta in Italian Cup Quarterfinal
Atalanta scored three goals including a VAR-awarded penalty to eliminate Juventus and advance to the Coppa Italia semi-finals, joining Serie A leaders Inter Milan.
On February 5, 2026 Atalanta BC beat Juventus 3-0 at the New Balance Arena, Bergamo to reach the Coppa Italia semi-finals.
After a VAR review awarded a penalty in the 25th minute, Gianluca Scamacca converted two minutes later, giving Atalanta a 1-0 lead at half-time.
Kamaldeen Sulemana doubled the lead in the 77th minute, and Mario Pasalic completed the scoring in the 85th minute one minute after replacing Charles De Ketelaere.
The win boosts Atalanta's chances of lifting the cup, as Raffaele Palladino's team now join Serie A leaders Inter Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-finals.
Despite pressure, Juventus failed to convert chances as Francisco Conceicao hit the woodwork and Federico Gatti and Weston McKennie missed opportunities; Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti said, 'When you talk about a 3-0 defeat, there's not much you can say.
