A boy who was expelled from the Nixon-Smiley Independent School District after confessing to a murder when he was 7 years old will remain in virtual classes with the Gonzales Independent School District, according to court documents obtained by KSAT.
TEXAS — A Texas school district filed a lawsuit to keep out of their schools a minor who allegedly confessed to murder when he was only seven years old. The Gonzales Independent School District (GISD) filed the lawsuit in a federal court and a judge ruled in favor of the district. In a statement, the district confirmed the lawsuit, but noted that it cannot comment on pending litigation.
The Gonzales Independent School District filed a lawsuit to prevent a minor from confessing to a crime outside of school.
