At least 8 killed in rain-related incidents in K-P, G-B

PAKISTAN, JUL 21 – Nearly a month of monsoon rains killed 221 people and injured over 500, destroying more than 800 houses across multiple provinces, the National Disaster Management Agency reported.

Torrential rains in Pakistan have killed 221 people, nearly half of them children, AFP reported on Tuesday. A landslide in the northeast of the country on Monday killed three people in cars. The monsoon season, which lasts from June to September in South Asia, brings 70 to 80 percent of the annual rainfall.
