The European Parliament has called for a tightening of asylum policy. A majority of Christian Democrats and right-wing parties voted in favour of a repatriation regulation. The decision on asylum policy provides, among other things, for deportation centres in countries outside the EU. In addition, a co-operation obligation for rejected asylum seekers was decided.
