The European Parliament has launched a tightening of the EU's asylum policy, with the majority voting in favour of the so-called repatriation regulation, which is intended to allow, among other things, deportation centres in third countries.
The European Parliament has called for a tightening of asylum policy. A majority of Christian Democrats and right-wing parties voted in favour of a repatriation regulation. The decision on asylum policy provides, among other things, for deportation centres in countries outside the EU. In addition, a co-operation obligation for rejected asylum seekers was decided.
