The Council of Ministers approved a mobility agreement with Uzbekistan on Wednesday. The aim is cooperation in carrying out deportations. The Central Asian country will also accept third-country nationals awaiting deportation, but only for transit to their home country. The agreement is scheduled to be signed in Uzbekistan in May by Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (ÖVP) and Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger (NEOS).
