Asylum Applications in Countries of the European Union Decreased by Less than 59 000 in February

59.085 people from countries outside the political and economic block requested asylum in February 2025, under the 77.170 which had required the status of international protection in the same month in 2024.

The Commission's proposal for a European Parliament is making this week a broad offensive to the block against asylum applications. After precipitating part of a legislation which is only provided for by 2026 and publishing a 'list of insurance origins' in the previous m, Brussels now wants to flexible the first concept of insurance.
