MPs approved in committee on Saturday, May 18, the idea of end-of-life assistance for some patients. The text will arrive in the hemicycle on May 27, continuing a legislative journey that could last at least until the summer of 2025.
One of the eligibility criteria was amended against the advice of the Government during the discussions, raising fears among some that the balance of the text would be upset.
On Friday, MPs completed the end of life bill, which creates active assistance in dying and strengthens palliative care. It will be examined in the hemicycle starting on 27 May.
