Olivier Hadzovic had returned to the Italian authorities three days after the murder of Abubakar Cissé at the mosque of La Grand-Combe, in the Gard, on 25 April. He stabbed the faithful 57 times by saying "Your Allah of shit."

A ceremony was held on Thursday 8th but 2025 in Bamako, Mali in tribute to Aboubakar Cissé, a young Malian killed in the mosque of La Grand-Combe (Gard), whose body was repatriated to his country of origin for burial.
