(Dan Tri Newspaper) - The results of the 2026 Southeast Asian Futsal Championship quite clearly reflect the relative strength of futsal nations in the region. The Vietnamese team is close to the top spot, but still lacks the necessary composure to claim the championship.

The Indonesian national futsal team failed to defend its 2026 ASEAN Futsal championship title after losing 1-2 to Thailand in the final. The Garuda team had taken an early lead through Andres Dwi.

On the night of April 12th, the Thai futsal team defeated defending champions Indonesia 2-1 in the final of the 2026 Southeast Asian Futsal Championship, claiming their 17th title at the tournament.

With a convincing performance, the Vietnamese team not only won the bronze medal but also received a bonus from the VFF, recognizing their efforts and achievements at this year's tournament.
