The Indonesian national futsal team failed to defend its 2026 ASEAN Futsal championship title after losing 1-2 to Thailand in the final. The Garuda team had taken an early lead through Andres Dwi.
On the night of April 12th, the Thai futsal team defeated defending champions Indonesia 2-1 in the final of the 2026 Southeast Asian Futsal Championship, claiming their 17th title at the tournament.
With a convincing performance, the Vietnamese team not only won the bronze medal but also received a bonus from the VFF, recognizing their efforts and achievements at this year's tournament.
