DEG finally descended - Dresden new in the DEL

In the year of its 90th anniversary, the Düsseldorfer EG went down for the first time in sport. The reason is the triumph of the Dresden ice lions, who decided in a dramatic way the final series of the DEL2 for themselves and ascend into the DEL.

Ravensburg and Dresden faced each other in the final for the second league championship. If Ravensburg had won, Düsseldorf would have remained in the DEL. But it won Dresden – in the extension.

In the year of its 90th anniversary, the Düsseldorfer EG has to descend from the DEL. The Dresden ice lions win the final series of the DEL2 in a dramatic way - and get into the DEL for the first time.

The hope was ultimately for nothing: the Düsseldorf EG is not only rising in sport, but also in fact – because the Dresden ice lions win the title in the DEL2.
