Asahi Linux Brings M3 Macs to Linux, But GPU and Sleep Remain Out of Reach
Asahi Linux has added official support for Apple M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max Macs, delivering working webcams, audio, Wi-Fi, USB and AV1 decode. GPU acceleration and sleep remain limited, HDMI stays disabled, and M3 Ultra is unsupported. The team plans rapid GPU progress.
Asahi Linux's team of developers has added Apple's M3 series to the installer, only in expert mode for the time being. Those who want to play on a MacBook Pro M3 also need patience: The driver for 3D acceleration is still missing.
