Government engineers on unlimited general strike

Engineers affiliated with the Government of Quebec have been on strike since 8 a.m. on Friday morning in the middle of the construction season.

Engineers working in the Quebec government will begin an unlimited general strike starting at 8 a.m. on Friday morning.

Quebec has appointed a conciliator to resolve the impasse in the negotiations with the CPEs. Since January, the CSN's affiliated educators have been on strike for 13 days and they still have an unlimited general strike mandate.
