Yann LeCun, one of the most influential figures in artificial intelligence, says that current systems – including ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini – will never be able to understand the physical world. Last year, the expert left Meta, where he worked as a leading AI researcher for ten years, to found his own company, AMI Labs, based in Paris, which is working on developing a completely new kind of artificial intelligence.
