Upadacitinib, an arthritis drug sold as Rinvoq, showed strong hair regrowth in Phase 3 trials involving severe alopecia areata patients. Around half of participants regained at least 80 per cent scalp hair coverage after 24 weeks, with some reaching complete regrowth.
