Around an acre of open land on Hounslow Heath has been destroyed by fire.
Twenty firefighters were called to the grass fire at 4.45pm yesterday afternoon. Crews used water backpacks and beaters to bring the blaze under control. A specialist Terrain Support Vehicle carrying around 475 litres of water was also deployed to help tackle the flames. There are no reports of any injuries.
